5. You could jump into a time machine,

7. But, I doubt you have one of those

8. So now I plan to solve your problem!

12. Ancient Inca transporter! (of my very own invention!)

13. This high definition transporter will blast you all in a flash to the ancient Inca faster then you can say “Llama, llama!”

19. Welcome to Ancient Inca!!

20. Look around, what do you see? Mountains! People! Llamas! You will find all of that here in Ancient Inca!

21. Geography

22. Ancient Inca is located in the western parts of South America. The empire takes up almost all of western South America.

23. Some of the landforms are mountains,

27. And if you are lucky enough to stumble upon a valley during our trip, it will look something like this

30. Family and Kin

31. Girls would learn to weave and cook on weekends by there moms teaching them and on weekdays, would go to school to learn how to read and write Quechua (KECH-wah)

32. Boy would also go to school on weekdays with all of the girls, to read and write Quechua, and on weekends, the would follow there fathers while they worked to teach themselves the responsibilities of being an Incan man

33. Women would run the household by weaving, cooking, and cleaning. They would also have the reasonability of caring for ALL of the children when not at school.

34. And most importantly, the men were the well-beings of the household.

35. Political Organization

36. The ruler, Cuzco, had a VERY fierce army. There goal was to conquer as much land as possible. They would conquer new lands by persuading the people of other lands with corn, a place to stay, and good education for there young. Cuzco, the empire

37. If they say, no, this is where the army comes in, they attack the main land and decapitate the people that would not join there land and that is how they conquered new lands. Incan army

38. Communicatio n

39. Ancient Incan not only used there very own language, Quechua (KECH-wah) but had there own of taking messages a far distance, the used Quipus (KEE-puhz) these knotted roped have different colors, knot types, and lengths, depending on what it is standing for.

40. To deliver these quips (KEE-puz), they had messengers. Messengers were people who traveled a long distance to deliver messages for little pay. They often played joyful tunes on a flute while traveling.

41. Economics

42. Women often weaved to trade for other silks to sew into new clothing for their families.

43. Also, famers would trade their crops for other goods, such as silks for weaving and other crops that they might be low on stock or not able to grow, due to soils.

44. Technolog y

45. Ancient Incan's technology wasn’t anything like what we have today.

46. They didn’t even have IPhones!

48. Instead, they used llamas

50. Yeah, llamas. Llamas were used to pull carts. They were also used for transporting an item or items to a far away place.

51. Incan people also loved to cave stone. They used levers and chisels. Chisels would carve the stone and the lever would hold it up chisel leve r

52. Another thing ancient Incans would use are lampas. Lampas are a tool used for plowing.

53. Sorry, I couldn’t find a picture of a lampa, all that would come up was a lamp. It thinks I spelled lamp wrong.

54. Beliefs and Rituals

55. To ancient Incans, metal was not valued as money, but as a symbol to the gods, so metal was sacred.

56. Many Incans made gold and silver objects to honor the gods

57. And one more thing that is sort of like the ancient Greeks, the Incans worshiped many gods and goddess. Some of the included Inti (the sun god), Mamacocha (the sea goddess), and Pachamama (the earth goddess).

58. Education

59. Children began school at age 13. if you lived in ancient Inca, you still wouldn’t be in school yet! This picture shows an Incan school

60. Children learned to read and write Quechua. This is a teacher talking to his students in Quechua.

61. Did you know that in ancient Inca, they only had schools in the capital city, Cuzco? Yes, its true! Some kids even had to walk miles, just to learn to read and write!

62. Creative Expression

63. Incans were VERY skilled builders. They could build a building so tightly, you couldn’t even slide a thin knife trough one of the cracks in the stone!

64. The Incans loved to paint, sculpt, and do lots of art. They were known for there wonderful pottery and paintings. Ancient pottery Ancient painting Ancient weaving

65. Food, Clothing, and Shelter

66. Lets start off with Foo d

67. Ancient Incan foods consist of grains, crops, and many types of fruits and vegetables.

68. Now we will explore Clothing

69. Many clothes were made out of llama or alpaca wool. If you were lucky enough to own a cotton farm, your clothes would be made out of cotton or wool.

70. One more thing we will see is Shelter

71. Almost all of the buildings in ancient Inca are hand-built stone buildings. All of the buildings are very well built.

72. Now, that is the end of are tour, we have to go home. Let me just press the button, uh, has anyone seen the transporter? Oh yeah, I just saw a llama trying to eat the top of it off. Now I have got it. Yum Yum!
