2
Acts 20:27 Give Me All
3
In the context of our passage this morning, Paul is speaking to the Ephesian elders Paul indicates that this could be the last time that they see him on this earth (v. 25) Knowing that, he declares to them “I am innocent of the blood of all men” (v. 26) Why?
4
Give Me All Paul gives the answer to that in verse 27… “For I have not shunned to declare to you the whole counsel of God” What Paul in essence was saying was that he would have no regrets! How can we have this same confidence that Paul had?
5
Give Me All 1. Declare The gospel must be preached! Romans 10:1-3 Righteousness – God’s or man’s Luke 1:6 Psalm 119:172

Give Me All 2. The Whole Paul tells us exactly what it was that he declared It was not anything that was in part, but rather “the whole” We too have a responsibility to declare all “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God” – Matthew 4:4
9
Give Me All 2. The Whole Paul tells us that all scripture is given by the inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine, reproof, correction, and instruction in righteousness (II Tim. 3:16-17) It also completes us and thoroughly equips us for every good work
10
Give Me All 2. The Whole James reminds us that we must keep the entirety of the God’s law (Js. 2:8-12) We cannot pick and choose which part of God’s word we like and that which we do not agree with If we refuse one part we refuse the whole
11
Give Me All 2. The Whole This means that all sins must be dealt with Lust Drunkenness Tongue Envy Pride
12
Give Me All 3. Counsel of God The counsel of God is His will Paul had preached the entirety of the will of God This tells us just how important God’s will for our lives is The Bible is not just a book of suggestions
13
Give Me All 3. Counsel of God Again, Paul said God’s word is profitable to us It instructs us in righteousness (telling us how we can be right in the sight of God) Paul also said that the scriptures are able to make us wise to salvation (II Tim. 3:15) James said the word is able to save your souls (1:21)
14
Give Me All 3. Counsel of God Those who do not obey it will suffer punishment (II Thess. 1:8-9) God’s will is not always popular It isn’t popular with those in the world It also isn’t always popular with those in religion either
