4
How Does Provideam Work? Provideam is a software application which: Connects to all types of production equipment Collects data automatically (and manually if required) Stores the data in an enterprise-class database Provides sophisticated report creation/query generation wizards Generates a powerful array of customisable OEE / Downtime Reports.
5
How Does Provideam Work?
6
What are the Key Benefits? Provideam: Provides instant visibility of OEE, Yield, Downtime etc. Motivates Production Teams to Exceed Targets Enables Comparison of Production Parameters – Part, Shift, Machine, Material etc. Highlights the Effect of Changes in Material, Part, Operation on Machine Performance Guides Machine Improvements & Investment Reduces Administration Costs

What are the Key Benefits? What are the Key Benefits?
8
How is Provideam Used? Current Status Enables Operators to Track Production in Real-time Real-time Production Visibility Motivates Operators to Exceed Targets
9
How is Provideam Used? Downtime Log Allows Technicians to Analyze Machine Failure Modes
10
How is Provideam Used? Trend Reports Allow Production to be Monitored over any Time Period Planners can Monitor if Targets are being Achieved
11
How is Provideam Used? OEE Loss Reports Spotlight Main Causes of Loss by Level (Drilldown to Level3) Lean Teams Analyse Losses, Implement Improvements and Monitor Results

Provideam Modules Main Components: Provideam Live Provideam Reporting Provideam Data Entry Provideam Administration Provideam HardHat Middleware
13
Provideam Live Provideam Live is a Powerful Realtime Analysis Engine It Enables Users to Monitor The Status of Production Areas, Lines & Machines etc. Key Performance Indicators Downtime & Defect Issues as they Occur All in Real-time
14
Provideam Reporting The Provideam Report Wizard Enables the User to; Create Quickly and Easily, a Comprehensive Array of Customised Reports. Query by Hour, Day, Week, Month or any Customised Period Filter By Production Area, Line, Machine, Shift, Operator, Material etc. Report on all the Popular Key Performance Indicators, KPI’s

Provideam HardHat Middleware Provideam HardHat Middleware is a Highly Efficient Windows Service which; Connects to All Types of Production Equipment PLC’s Moulding Machines CNC Machines PC Controlled Machines Collects Data Automatically and Stores in Provideam Database * HardHat can be installed on Several Servers to Distribute the Communications Processing Load.
24
Provideam Data Capture Sometimes it is not possible to communicate directly with a machine. E.g.: Manual Machine Old Machine Machine where comms would be too expensive In this situation Provideam recommend using the ProvDAQ which allows the user to monitor electrical signals on the machine to determine the state of the machine. If the machine stops and the reason for the stop cannot be determined from these signals it is possible for the operator to indicate a reason via the illuminated pushbuttons. (For example if the machine is stopped because the material quality is poor.)
25
Advanced ProvDAQ The Advanced ProvDAQ is a more sophisticated alternative. During normal running the HMI screen is green. When the Machine Stops the screen colour changes to red. If the stop reason is not known, then ‘Not Logged’ is displayed as the stop reason. The operator can then enter a reason by selecting the appropriate reason on the HMI
26
Advanced Integration Even with machines which are highly automated it is sometimes necessary to allow for some manual stop reason assignment. For example if the machine is stopped for a planned reason, such as Operator Training. This can be facilitated in several ways. Pushbuttons at machine – such as ProvDAQ MMI at machine – for example Advanced ProvDAQ SCADA at machine – eg modify existing SCADA at machine. It is best to choose a method which suits best the individual machine and it’s environment rather then using one blanket approach.
