“There are two equal and opposite errors into which our race can fall about the devils. One is to disbelieve in their existence. The other is to believe, and to feel an excessive and unhealthy interest in them. They themselves are equally pleased by both errors…” CS Lewis

Satan is real and hates us.
He wants to: sabotage our love for God and for others tempt us into a moral catastrophe and he wants us to choose a lifestyle of sin rather than walk with Jesus Charles Swindoll

God loves us. At the same time Satan accuses, Jesus Christ, our advocate, ceaselessly intercedes for us. All of our sins-past, present, and future-have been paid in full by the blood of Christ!

The Breastplate of Righteousness
At salvation, a “breastplate” is issued to each repentant sinner. It is specially designed by God to protect our heart and soul from evil and deception. The breastplate of righteousness has Christ’s name stamped on it, as though He said, “Your righteousness isn’t sufficient to protect you. Wear mine.”
17
The Gospel of Peace The gospel of peace is the message that Jesus gave to those who trust in Him. It comes with the assurance from God that we are His children and nothing can snatch us out of His hands God expects us to go on the offensive and take the gospel of peace to others.
18
The Shield of Faith Faith is a protective barrier between us and the schemes of Satan. When we believe God and take Him at His word, we remain grounded in truth, the lies of the enemy lose their power, and we become overcomers. In that way, faith is our shield.
19
The Helmet of Salvation
The assurance of salvation is our impenetrable defense against anything the enemy throws at us.
20
The Sword of the Spirit The more we know and understand the word of God, the more useful we will be in doing the Will of God and the more effective we will be in standing against the enemy of our souls. got questions.org

“Blinded by his belief that he was God’s equal, Satan did not realize that everything he did was actually an imitation-a grotesquely distorted replication of God’s works. His whole strategy was nothing but a counterfeit of his rival.” David Jeremiah
31
“… the number six is one less than the perfect number 7 and therefore the threefold repetition of the 6 would indicate that for all their pretentions to deity, Satan and the two beasts are just creatures.” John Walvoord

Thomas Torrance
