2. About Gangs
Gang members usually have tattoos or rings. 227 gangsters were killed in the space of four years on St. Valentines day. Seven gangsters were killed by gangsters from a different group when they were disguised as police officers.

3. Al Capone
Al Capone was known as public enemy #1 in Chicago Capone worked for Johnny Torrio who sold illegal drugs. In 1925 Torrio was almost killed by a rival gang and decided to get out of the criminal business. Torrio gave Capone his “business”.
Over 2 years he made more than $60,000,000 a year alone by selling alcohol. Extra rackets earned him an extra $45,000,000 a year.
He drove around in an armor plated limousine to protect himself.

4. “pretty boy” Floyd
Pretty Boy Floyd was born February 3, He was first arrested at age 18 for stealing $3.50 from the post office. He was called Pretty Boy Floyd by the police. He personally hated this name.

5. Robberies
There have been lots of robberies over the years. Many of them had been done by Pretty Boy Floyd. He had over 20 robbery attempts.

6. Eliot Ness
Eliot Ness is a U.S. agent trying to capture Al Capone. He kept trying to catch Al. Even when he failed he kept trying. His group’s name was “The Untouchables.” Eliot Ness’ agents were taken in by a bribe from Capone. He first started with a degree in economics but he returned years later to get a Master’s in criminology.

7. The Battle Begins
Eliot Ness had always been after Al Capone, trying to put him in jail. He kept trying. After every time, he failed. Ness finally caught Capone for tax evasion.

8. AL CAPONE HIDEOUTS
One of Al Capone’s hideouts was in Wisconsin. Another was at the Lexington Hotel in Chicago, Illinois. Overall Capone had many hideouts. He would move his hideout to get different kinds of alcohol.

9. The Biggest Loser Franklin D. Roosevelt
Although Al Capone was sly, he finally got caught by Ness. He had a very nice looking jail cell. He spent 11 years in it. He was going to have to get used to it. One thing the government took from him was his armor plated limousine. It was then used for U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt during the attack of Pearl Harbor.

10. MONEY!
Al Capone made millions of dollars each year. He got this by being part of many activities such as selling illegal drugs, playing poker, and prostitution.

11. Fears
Al Capone was only scared of needles, not getting caught. Most people are afraid of getting caught. I would be scared of getting caught. Although needles are scary getting caught is scarier.
