3 Purpose Make the data visible and easily accessible Provide information to AASAC every year Provide information to campus leadership: deans, UDAC, College Diversity Coordinators, Admissions Office, Vice Provosts, Vice Chancellors, Provost Evaluate progress, pinpoint where we have been successful, where changes are needed Inform decisions on policy and practice

24 Findings African American freshman applications: upward trend AA Admission rate is lower than in past years, but comparable to white rates at each GPA level African American graduation rates: upward trend Very few African American PhDs; no consistent trend in the past 5 years Very few African American faculty.

25 Needs: Current Programs and Proposed Initiatives Need to focus on recruiting high-achieving students. Two new diversity scholarships; Pack Promise; NC EARN NC State Affordability Initiative: Ben Ruffin Scholars Program for Social Justice; Increase Pack Promise Scholars; NC State Achieve! Scholarships; Enhance Graduate Student Support Plan Need to increase number of college-ready students.
