2 Benchmark assessment data generated from the Edusoft Assessment Management System is a powerful tool for informing classroom instruction, and ensuring that the educational needs of students are met. Teachers and administrators are encouraged to discuss assessment results at department meetings, grade level meetings, or individual professional development meetings. Teachers that share successful teaching methods and brainstorm ideas for future development together save valuable planning and instructional time and resources. With so many different Edusoft reporting options, sometimes it can be confusing to determine which reports to print. To assist you in planning for meetings and data discussions, we’ve outline suggested report options for a variety of school-based meetings including the individual student.

To assist you in planning for meetings and data discussions, we’ve outline suggested report options for a variety of school-based meetings including the individual student. I’ve got the data, so now what?

Utilizing assessment data from Edusoft Benchmark Reports, Teachers can identify common misconceptions and error patterns for an entire grade level, as well as common strengths. When teachers discuss assessment results as a group, they have the opportunity to share successful teaching methods, and to brainstorm ideas for grade level intervention.

9 The Item Response Report allows teachers to review each individual student's performance on an assessment, as well as look for response patterns for their students as a group. Teachers are able to determine how the error patterns of their students correlate to those of the entire group taking the assessment. Additionally, teachers can see which questions were aligned to which standards, and drill down to analyze a student’s performance on all aspects of a standard Item Response Report The Item Response Report is designed to allow teachers to review which individual student’s performance on an assessment, as well as look for response patterns for a group of students. The report displays answer choices for each item on the assessment, for misconceptions and error patterns for an entire group. These reports may be generated for all students in a particular group, or for individual class periods. There are several sorting options that help pinpoint areas of challenge for students.
