With the DPO7000C Series oscilloscopes, you can visualize and characterize analog, digital and serial signals with a single instrument to quickly find and diagnose problems in complex embedded system designs. Bandwidths up to 3.5 GHz and a maximum sample rate of up to 40 GS/s provide the performance you need for many of today’s mainstream applications. A deep standard record length of 12.5 Mpoints with up to 500 Mpoints on one channel enables you to capture long windows of signal activity while maintaining fine timing resolution. Just because an oscilloscope has a large display, it doesn’t have to have a large footprint. At a little over ten inches deep, the DPO7000C Series can free up space on overcrowded benches. And, the DPO7000C Series features dedicated front-panel controls for common oscilloscope tasks, making it easy and intuitive to use. Modern connectivity is essential to instruments today. The side and rear of the instrument contain 4 more USB2.0 host ports, along with LAN, Aux Out (Trigger Out/Reference Clock Out), Reference Clock In, Channel 3 Out, Video Out, PS-2 ports for keyboard and mouse, audio ports, and a GPIB connector. Pinpoint triggering allows you to specify that a sequence of events occur before triggering “If A-Event, Then delay, Then B-Trigger, Else Reset” Unlike most oscilloscopes, Pinpoint triggering provides full-featured list of B triggers Many oscilloscope trigger systems offer multiple trigger types only on a single event, providing less than 20 trigger combinations. With today’s record lengths of millions of data points, locating your event can mean scrolling through thousands of screens of signal activity. You need good tools to help make the record length useable, including Advanced Search and Mark and MultiView Zoom to simplify navigation and search of long records. With the DPO7000C Series, you can define up to eight search definitions to run simultaneously, mark every instance of a found event, and the oscilloscope provides a table listing the information for each found event. With several very common slow-speed varieties like I2C, SPI and RS-232 being used in nearly every design, it has become essential to have your oscilloscope automatically trigger on and decode packet level information to gain insight into real system behavior. There are also many other serial standards that in the past have been considered too fast for oscilloscopes to provide the same impactful triggering and decode of signal behavior in an affordable scope. USB2.0 is one such bus that is now being used in a high percentage of embedded systems being designed today thanks to it’s relatively low cost, proven performance, and availability.
