This distance is called the radius. Radius – the distance from the centre of a circle to the outside of the circle. radius

The radius is always ½ the diameter & the diameter is always 2 times the radius. d = diameter & r = radius So, r = d /2 and d = 2 x r or d = 2r. radius diameter
