SAFETY Safety is your most important priority in handling, transporting, storing, and using air rifles and pistols

SAFETY You must ALWAYS follow the rules of safe gun handling. Always be aware of the air rifle, your surroundings, and those people around you.

SAFETY RULE #1 NEVER point an air rifle at any person

SAFETY RULE #2 NEVER point an air rifle at anything you do not intend to shoot

SAFETY RULE #3 ALWAYS treat an air rifle as if it were loaded and with the same respect you would a firearm

SAFETY RULE #4 ALWAYS aim an air rifle in a safe direction and ALWAYS keep the muzzle pointed in a safe direction

SAFETY RULE #5 NEVER load an air rifle until you are ready to shoot

SAFETY RULE #6 ALWAYS keep an air rifle “on safe” until you are ready to shoot in a safe direction

SAFETY RULE #7 ALWAYS keep your finger off the trigger and out of the trigger guard until you are aiming at your target and are ready to shoot

SAFETY RULE #8 ALWAYS obey shooting commands instantly

SAFETY RULE #9 NEVER disassemble or tamper with your air rifle

SAFETY RULE #10 NEVER leave your air rifle lying around.

SAFETY RULE #11 ALWAYS be absolutely sure of your target and that it has a safe backstop
