Senior Army Instructor Lieutenant Colonel (Retired) Dennis O’driscoll Lieutenant Colonel O’Driscoll joined the JROTC program at Bellaire HS in August 2002. A retired Infantry Officer, he served in various command and staff positions in Berlin, Germany, Ft. Benning, GA, West Point, NY. The Pentagon, Washington D.C., and Ft. Ord, CA. He retired from the United States Military Academy at West Point, NY as the Associate Director of Admissions. He teaches the 3d and 4 th year cadets and is the coach of the Rifle Team. Army Instructor Command Sergeant Major (Retired) Brian Briggs Command Sergeant Major Brian Briggs was assigned to Bellaire HS on January 4, 2011. He retired from the United States Army after 27 years of service and three tours of combat in Irag. He served in various leadership positions in the Armor, Cavalry, and Infantry communities ranging from M1 Abrams Crewman to Infantry Battalion and Armored Cavalry Regiment Command Sergeant Major. But now as one of the Bellaire JROTC Instructors, he is the coach of the Drill Team, PT Team, Color Guard and the Unarmed Drill Team. Army Instructor Master Sergeant Ronnie Jefferson Master Sergeant Ronnie Jefferson arrived at Bellaire in August 2010 replacing Sergeant First Class Thomas Debee. Master Sergeant Jefferson served in personnel positions at Battalion to Department of the Army level assignments. His most interesting assignment was with the Multinational Force and Observers located in Sinai, Egypt. He travelled throughout Egypt and Israel visiting historical sites that he read about in the Bible and history books. Master Sergeant Jeffersonis excited about being at Bellaire and has a desire to make a positive impact on the Cadets. Battalion Commanderr Cadet/Lieutenant Colonel

Bellaire High School JROTC SY 2013-2014 Bellaire High School 20 th JROTC Battalion, News Letter September News  On 14 September, 62 Battalion cadets participated in the annual Fiestas Patrias Parade in downtown Houston, Texas. Our cadets marched and sang cadences with enthusiasm and pride.  On 28 September, 20 cadets participated in the Adventure trip to the Texas Rock Gym in Houston, Texas. The cadets were given instruction on how to to perform the required safety procedures so they could climb and perform belay functions. The cadets had a great time and would like to go back during 2d Semester. The cadets who attended will be issued JROTC Adventure Ribbons.  ON 28 September, ____ cadets assisted with the Bellaire Community Fun Run. Our Battalion Color Guard presented the Colors at the beginning of the Run. The cadets also assisted with  The Cardinal Battalion has grown to 285 cadets; the largest the Battalion has ever been. This is due to great recruiting and our reputation as being the number one Battalion out of 26 schools in the Houston Independent School District JROTC programs.
