For iCook we had to make some vegetable soup. ICook is a website between Sri Lanka and Gorseland school.

We walked to the local market ( 10 minute walk ). Most of the vegetables were grown locally. They weighed the vegetables in pounds not in kilograms. Suffolk provides one third of the country ‘s vegetables.

1.Peel and chop the vegetable 2.Put the stock in a pot and boil 3.Add the vegetables to the boiling stock 4.Lower the heat to a simmer and cover for 15 minutes 5.Grate the carrots and scrape them and the oat meal in the pot. 6.Cover and simmer for 15 more minutes. 7.When ready to serve stir in the cheese and simmer for a few minutes 8.Ladle out into the bowls and enjoy!!
