Introduction: First we should know what is science, knowledge, and also scientific knowledge. Simultaneously, we will be concerned about socio-economic structure in Bangladesh along with the essentiality of this course as a student of business administaration.

Introduction : There are two ways of expressing the term science. Science (from the Latin scientia meaning “knowledge” ) is, in its broadest sense, any systematic knowledge-base or prescriptive practice that is capable of resulting in a prediction or predictable type of outcome. In this sense,science may refer to a highly skilled technique or practice. There are two ways of expressing the term science. Science is continuation effort to discover and increase human knowledge and understanding through disciplined research. This systematic knowledge is called science. Accordingly, there are two branches of science: natural and social. Features of Science: The word science probably brings to mind many different pictures. These are ; Science is both a body of knowledge and a process. What is scientific knowledge! The term scientific knowledge is attributed to some facts and principles that are acquired through the long process of inquiry and investigation. The investigation takes a long time because it goes through various aspects to come to a conclusion and the aspects include all the laws, theories, concepts, and models. However, it is necessary to depict the features of the above two branches of science: features of Natural and Social Science. Science can be explained in terms of the following characteristics of social science and natural science in the below:

The characteristics of natural science and social science : The elements of natural science exist in the nature and the outcomes of the research in natural science is same conducted in any place of the world. The nature of the elements of natural science is same from the beginning of the universe. On the other hand, the elements of social science are human being, their society and culture. The nature of human being, society and culture are always changing and it is a natural process. Hence, the result of social science is not same on time and space basis. The elements of natural science exist in the nature and the outcomes of the research in natural science is same conducted in any place of the world. The nature of the elements of natural science is same from the beginning of the universe. On the other hand, the elements of social science are human being, their society and culture. The nature of human being, society and culture are always changing and it is a natural process. Hence, the result of social science is not same on time and space basis.

Definition of Socio-economic study: Socioeconomic study or socio- economics is the study of the relationship between economic activity and social life. The field is often considered multidisciplinary, using theories and methods from sociology, economics, history, psychology, anthropology and many others. Definition of Socioeconomic Study In many cases, however, socioeconomists focus on the social impact of some sort of economic change. Such changes might include a closing factory, market manipulation, the signing of international trade treaties, new natural gas regulation, etc. Such social effects can be wide- ranging in size, anywhere from local effects on a small community to change to an entire society. Many sholars say socio-economic study is a source and a branch of elementary issues of economics and sociology or in a word part of social science, it has direct effects on human beings, society and culture.

Significance of Socioeconomic Studies of Bangladesh Bangladesh as one of the poorest countries of the world has severe socioeconomic problems such as poverty, unemployment, malnutrition, lack of proper education, poor sanitary and hygienic condition etc. Man is a social being. So, as a social being, we all live in the society. In this way student or people must acquire Socio- economic knowledge for accquiring the knowledge of these sectors and also capturing the knowledge how to reduce these problems. Significance / importance: 1.To know social demands and problems, like- what our society and people demand from each and other along with what are the existing problems surrounding us. We should do our activities accordingly our demands and expectation. 2.We should Solve our problem according to plan, as it is appropriate for our whole nations and in future it creates not a single problems. 3.Protect Social discrimination, Such as the proper distribution of our wealth and property both of the male and female, age basis as well. Simultaneously we should ensure the proper respect in education, job sectors and other areas.

Significance/Importance: 4. We should also know what are the social and economic discriminations and exploitations are existing in our society and also country. 4. Peoples participation in the development activities, we should also ensure this matter. Like the ideas about participatory rapid appraisal should build up in the development activities. 5. And also to build up the ideas about socialization. How to be socialize in the society, how to maintain mannerism, etiquacy, how to learn social values, ideas, norms, these all things we can absorb from studying this subject.

Concluding Words: By studying socio-economic study, we can understand what are the present scenarios both of these sectors ( society and economy). We can absorb the knowledge about the past pictures of the country and also what are the things to get more priority. We can understand what are the potentiality we have and which way these can be properly utilized.
