School Introduction Appointments: Go to the school office/meet the principal, vice-principal or designate Purpose of the meeting: - Introductions - get a basic orientation to the school - go on a tour of the school - an opportunity to ask questions, find out about how you can get involved in larger school community After meeting- sign/mail thank you card

What to wear... Dress for a job interview - professional (business casual) - conservative/modest - piercings- limit to ear lobes - edgy tattoos should be covered - no perfumes/fragrances

Dress up for your appointment Males: -clean, pressed trousers or pants (no jeans or shorts) -Shirt- short or long sleeved, golf or collared, no T-shirts -Tie optional -Suit or jacket optional -Dress or casual shoes, no running shoes, flip flops, sandals Females: -conservative, business- style dress, skirt or pants -No jeans or yoga pants -Blouse, shirt or sweater (long or short sleeved, no tank tops, tube tops or spaghetti straps, no cleavage showing please) -Dress shoes or casual shoes/sandals (no running shoes, flip flops) -Modest amount of jewellery & make-up

To do before your School Intro: Prepare your questions for your administrator Think about your answers to the ‘typical’ administrator questions Contact your colleagues... Arrange rides, meeting times etc. Prepare a thank you card (one per school)... mail it right after the meeting.
