Cascade (n.) A waterfall The mist released by the cascade is one of the most amazing sights at Niagara Falls.

Chronicle (n.) A record of events Our aunt has kept a chronicle of our family’s important stories.

Covet (v.) To greedily wish for I coveted my neighbor’s new car because my car is old and not working well.

Inconsequential(adj.) Of no importance Maybe she hadn’t thought of it because it seemed inconsequential at the time.

Instigate (v.) To stir up or provoke Even though they were both fighting, her sister got in trouble because she instigated the argument.

Predominate (adj.) Most important or frequent The mayor is the predominant figure in every town.

Prudence (n.) The use of good judgment or commonsense. When I practice prudence, I weigh the pros against the cons.
