Online resources Get them from home or office Databases provide something for every discipline, as well as scholarly sources, magazines and newspapers Essential source of scholarly information for a college where the population is not on campus for long periods.

Start with general databases – ProQuest Central, Academic Search Good start for a search where you may not be sure of your approach Search strategies will be the same for other databases

Link to databases in particular disciplines Look for databases that meet particular needs Ethnic Newswatch Genderwatch New York Times Historical – dates from 1851 Academic Universe: Legal (Lexis Nexis) – case law AP Images – photographs Several databases for news articles and more, just read our menu or ask us!

Databases allow your students to obtain scholarly and research information by limiting searches to scholarly sources Are you doing research? You have access to a wide range of scholarly information as well.
