Promote the development of library collections to include Spanish-language and Latino oriented materials. Recruits more bilingual and bicultural library professionals and support staff. Work on the development of library services and programs that meet the needs of the Latino community. Awards a number of scholarships to library school students that express interest in working with Latinos. Provide information about the latest developments in library services to Latinos.

Celebrating 30 years. The chapter is dedicated to the improvement of library and information services in Southern California. Provide our own scholarships for students attending library school. META (Goal) Mentoring, Educating, Training, Advising.

META: Designed to recruit, encourage and support bilingual and /or bicultural individuals in the SJSU School of Library and Information Science. The program will: Provide you with individual guidance from a practicing librarian Enable you to learn more about the library profession Foster and promote the development of library service to the Latino community Orange County Chapter
