3. IViii Ros. And Guild. bring Hamlet to king “Hamlet, where’s Polonius?” Hamlet answers sarcastically and funny Hamlet off to Eng. w/ Ros. and Guild. King reveals Hamlet will be killed in England IViv – a plain in Denmark Hamlet, Ros. and Guild. meet Fortinbras on his way to battle with Poland

4. IVv - Elsinore Ophelia acting crazy and in mourning in front of King and Queen Laertes charges in and wants to know where his father is – he wants revenge Ophelia re-enters – acting crazy King tells Laertes to ask his closest friends who’s guilty and then come back to see him

5. IVvi Horatio receives letter from Hamlet He’s been taken by pirates and must do them a favor so Horatio must give pirate letter to king IVvii Laertes has found out and wants to know why king didn’t seek justice (execution) 1 and 2 What are the King’s 2 reasons?

6. IVvii cont. Laertes still wants revenge King says he’ll have it – soon Letter from Hamlet says he’s coming back King reveals plot – a swordfight! Laertes volunteers to put poison on tip of sword Ophelia has drowned
