2 Realistic Fiction Realistic Fiction stories are fiction stories that could be true, but aren’t. Realistic fiction stories are usually set in the present, meaning they read like they are happening right now. Characters like aliens, talking animals, or magicians would make a story fiction, but not realistic fiction.

13 Secret Symbols Remember, Secret Symbols are hidden in random books that fall into the Genre of the Month. To find a Secret Symbol, you must check out a book that falls into the Genre of the Month. If you find a Secret Symbol, bring the symbol and the book back to the Media Center on your next visit and you will win a prize! And remember if you find a Secret Symbol, it’s a secret as to what it looks like. So don’t tell anyone. Let everyone have a chance to discover the “secret” for themselves.
