Who sinned against you? How did you handle this? Bitterness will lead to more wickedness and sin Forgiveness does not mean trust. It means giving up the right to hurt you for hurting me. How do you handle the tests/trials of life? Are the tests of life a result of sin? Can be but in many times, they are a growing experience for each of us.

IV.The forgiveness of Job Don’t sin in your reaction Job 42:1–6 (ESV) — 1 Then Job answered the L ORD and said: 2 “I know that you can do all things, and that no purpose of yours can be thwarted. 3 ‘Who is this that hides counsel without knowledge?’ Therefore I have uttered what I did not understand, things too wonderful for me, which I did not know. 4 ‘Hear, and I will speak; I will question you, and you make it known to me.’ 5 I had heard of you by the hearing of the ear, but now my eye sees you; 6 therefore I despise myself, and repent in dust and ashes.” Job repents of his haughtiness

V.The Blessing of God in Job’s life and his friends Job 42:10-16 God did not restore Job until he forgave his friends We must forgive our friends and enemies Forgiveness and trust are two different areas. Who has hurt you? Do you need to forgive others who are your oppressors? When you are tempted to give up.

Hebrews 12:1–3 (ESV) 1 …let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, 2 looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God. 3 Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility against himself, so that you may not grow weary or fainthearted.
