2. PREPARING FOR REVIVAL

3. Will I stand before God one day and realize that I have lived my life in total contradiction to His thinking, His purpose, His design and His plan for me?

4. Revival is the extraordinary movement of the Spirit of God in the lives of God’s ordinary people producing extraordinary results.

5. Revelation 2:1-7-“To the angel of the church of Ephesus write, ‘These things says He who holds the seven stars in His right hand, who walks in the midst of the seven golden

6. lamp stands: I know your works, your labor, your patience, and that you cannot bear those who are evil. And you have tested those who say they are apostles and are not, and have found them liars; and

7. you have persevered and have patience, and have labored for My name's sake and have not become weary. Nevertheless I have this against you, that you have left your first love. Remember therefore from where

8. you have fallen; repent and do the first works, or else I will come to you quickly and remove your lamp stand from its place--unless you repent.’ But you have this in

9. your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God. ”

10. This was a good church, don’t you think?

11. Even though they had all these things going for them, they were not pleasing to Jesus.

12. They had left their fervent love for HIM.

13. With all that was going right with the church at Ephesus, why was Jesus upset over this one little thing?

14. Matthew 24:12-14 “Because of the increase of wickedness, the love of most will grow cold, but he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.”

15. Everything we are to do is a matter of love!

16. We have to be careful to focus on our love for Jesus.

17. Love is the greatest motivator of all and ONLY it will keep us in a close relationship with Christ that will lead to us staying in His will.

18. Matthew 22:36-38- “‘Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?’ Jesus replied: ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment.’”

19. If great care is not given to ANY love relationship, then its fires will begin to burn lowly.

20. Michael Horton “We can lose Christ by distraction as easily as by denial.”

21. David Bryan’s defines revival as “God’s Spirit using God’s Word to re- convert God’s people back to God’s Son for ALL He is.”

23. REMEMBER REPENT DO YOUR FIRST WORKS

24. Pray with me: Lord, forgive me of any sin in my life so I can fellowship freely with You.

25. Revive me.

26. Help me to think like Jesus thought so I can live like He lived.

27. Give me the desire to think on things that are pure and noble and reject thinking on things that are not.

28. Renew my mind so I can be transformed into the image of Jesus and not conformed to the image of this world.

29. Work IN me and THROUGH me to change my world!

30. Help me to live as a servant of the king and may all I do be for the glory of the name of King Jesus.
