12
TEMPUS project NETREL 2nd annual quality meeting Aims of the Learning Course To be able to identify the factors which have to be considered when choosing a method of analysis to know where to look for suitable methods to understand and be able to identify the causes of unsatisfactory results to understand what is method validation and why it is required to give attendees a sound theoretical knowledge of how to develop and validate a method for the analysis of environmental pollutants in water, sediments and biota to have a practical knowledge of how to plan and undertake a method validation for GC-MS analysis of key environmental pollutants

TEMPUS project NETREL 2nd annual quality meeting Learning course QA&QC in analytical chemistry University of Sarajevo 3 rd – 7 th November 2014
15
TEMPUS project NETREL 2nd annual quality meeting General practical arrangements Presenters tried to make the course interactive – so everyone can learn as much as possible during the week The speed of the course was driven by the attendees – it was not considered vital to cover every topic in full detail as each person received a complete set of talks on the Learning Course to look at afterwards (a paper copy of materials was also provided) Attendees were encouraged to ask questions during the session as they occur rather than at the end of talks In most courses were some ‘questions and answers’ every morning for cca 1.5 h to allow you to reflect on the knowledge learned in each session A practical demonstration of some sample preparation techniques, and method validation on GC/MS was arranged to gain practical understanding of techniques discussed in the classroom; Presenters were available at the end of each day to discuss topics and further questions
