The first ‚Round Table‘ Invitation to all involved institutions (e.g. Ministries from all entities, Agencies, Universities, etc.) Discussion about a possible approach (how to collect existing data, who will coordinate the collection, how to identify gaps and potentially wrong/misleading data, etc.) “Catch” the participants (at the end it was an honour for everyone to present their existing data...) 4

5. Down-to-earth approach … Reduction of estimations (an initial pan-BiH SoER can hardly be perfect – and maybe no SoER ever will be perfect?) Status quo (fix the starting-point / reference value) Identify the gaps and develop strategies to fill them Identify the most urgent needs (e.g. land mine, post war challenges for the environmental sector) 5
