Earliest Americans Between 38,000 and 10, 000 B.C.E.(BC)- During the Ice Age, Paleo- Indians crossed into Alaska from Russia using the Bering Land Bridge Bering Land Bridge- Strip of land between Alaska and Russia that was exposed due to the low ocean levels of the Ice Age

Migration This movement of people was known as a migration Migration= movement of people or animals from one region to another region The people that came to the Americas were hunter-gatherers meaning they hunted and gathered their food and could not settle in one place

10,000 B.C.E.- Neolithic Revolution The Neolithic Revolution was a time period of change that included the introduction of farming and domesticating animals People were no longer hunter-gatherers and could now settle in one place which led to the rise of Native American groups with different cultures throughout what we know now as North and South America

8,000 B.C.E. - The Ice Age ended The Earth’s climate grew warmer which melted ice The Bering Land Bridge was covered with water
