Academic integrity and plagiarism have been concerns to the university. The Academic Regulations and Records Office announced that the number of incidents of academic dishonesty, has increased dramatically. Best to alert students about the importance of academic integrity at the earliest possible stage and to constantly reinforce its importance to them throughout their studies at CityU. By the end of the tutorial, students should be able to: Explain the values underpinning academic integrity. Define plagiarism, intellectual property and academic misconduct. Explain the consequences for students of plagiarism and academic misconduct at the City University of Hong Kong.
