Missions of the Department of Life Sciences, NSC To promote life sciences research and biotechnology development in Taiwan. To conduct planning, management and assessment of national programs for agricultural biotechnology, pharmaceutical biotechnology and genomic medicine. To establish a good research infrastructure for the training and recruitment of life scientists to meet the demand of R&D in universities, research institutes and bioindustry for Taiwan.
