Comparing Coins by Feel: – Put coins in a Feely Box, and children must guess, by touch only, which coin it is. Games: – Money Cube Game – Penny-Nickel Exchange – Penny-Nickel-Dime Exchange – Money Conversion Dice Game – Money Grid Make Exchange Chart – Each child makes a coin exchange chart using stamps. Ongoing Coin Calendar: – Create a giant coin chart that correlates with calendar and unit; a visual representation of the value of coins, and relationships between penny to nickel, nickel to dime, etc. It will help highlight the pattern coin values.
