The Feast was usually a three coarse meal There was a special seating arrangement at the tables. There were many table manners that were supposed to be known before you went to the feast. http://www.darklair.dk/Medieval/Images/tablefeast.jp

Feasts were started with the signal from loud trumpets and fanfare. Meal began with light food. (Appetizer) Next was meat. It ended with sweets and wine.
