Children will take part in a Roman picnic at which entertainment will be provided, after first participating in a formation march and battle. Environment Using our outdoor environment for temperature comparisons, story telling, drama and inspiration for artwork. Children’s Questions Did they go to school? If so, what were they like? What did the Romans do for us? Who got rid of the Romans? How did Julius Caesar become so powerful? What types of food were popular in Ancient Rome? Why did they build Hadrian’s Wall? What weaponry did the Romans and Celts use in battle? ELLI Dimensions Creativity: Use the unicorn’s imagination to create Roman weapons, pottery, mosaics, drama pieces and musical compositions. Learning Relationships: Continue to work effectively in groups of differing sizes through our Roman Grand Finale, musical compositions, Publisher invitation designs and online maths games.
