Musa peace be upon him Allah’s plans are perfect. They may not be clear to us as they unfold. Allah takes care of His servants (the believers) (39) "When We inspired your mother with that which We inspired. "Saying: ‘Put him (the child) into the chest and put it into the river (Nile); then the river shall cast it up on the bank, and there, an enemy of Mine and an enemy of his shall take him.’ And I endued you with love from Me, in order that you may be brought up under My Eye.

Musa peace be upon him The preparation of Musa (40) "When your sister went and said: ‘Shall I show you one who will nurse him?’ So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Then you did kill a man, but We saved you from great distress and tried you with a heavy trial. Then you stayed a number of years with the people of Madyan (Median). Then you came here according to the fixed term which I ordained (for you), O Musa (Moses)!

Musa peace be upon him The Trials of Musa: –The preparation for the confrontation with the Tyrant. (40) "When your sister went and said: ‘Shall I show you one who will nurse him?’ So We restored you to your mother, that she might cool her eyes and she should not grieve. Musa peace be upon him "Go to Fir'aun, for he has indeed transgressed all bounds." The Confrontation with Pharaoh طه
14
Musa peace be upon him Pharaoh’s Tyranny and Transgression Verily, Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) exalted himself in the land and made its people sects, weakening (oppressing) a group (i.e. Children of Israel) among them: killing their sons, and letting their females live. Verily, he was of the corruptors (oppressors, tyrants). القصص
15
Musa peace be upon him (Pharaoh) Saying, "I am your Lord, most high." Pharaoh’s claim of Lordship النازعات
16
Musa peace be upon him Fir'aun said: "O Chiefs! no god do I know for you but myself: therefore, O Haman! light me a (kiln to bake bricks) out of clay, and build me a lofty palace, that I may mount up to the god of Musa: but as far as I am concerned I think (Musa) is a liar!" Pharaoh’s claim to being a Deity القصص
17
Musa peace be upon him "Go, both of you, to Fir‘aun (Pharaoh), verily, he has transgressed (all bounds in disbelief and disobedience and behaved as an arrogant and as a tyrant). "And speak to him mildly, perhaps he may accept admonition or fear (Allah)." The Confrontation with Pharaoh طه
18
Musa peace be upon him "So go you both to him, and say: ‘Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! "Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers.], and turns away (from the truth and obedience of Allah)." The Message to Pharaoh
19
Musa peace be upon him "So go you both to him, and say: ‘Verily, we are Messengers of your Lord, so let the Children of Israel go with us, and torment them not; indeed, we have come with a sign from your Lord! And peace will be upon him who follows the guidance! "Truly, it has been revealed to us that the torment will be for him who denies [believes not in the Oneness of Allah, and in His Messengers.], and turns away (from the truth and obedience of Allah)." The Message to Pharaoh
20
Musa peace be upon him [Fir‘aun (Pharaoh)] said [to Musa (Moses)]: "Did we not bring you up among us as a child? And you did dwell many years of your life with us. "And you did your deed, which you did (i.e. the crime of killing a man) while you were one of the ingrates." Pharaoh’s Arrogance and belittling Musa الشعراء
21
Musa peace be upon him Musa (Moses) said: "I did it then, when I was ignorant (as regards my Lord and His Message). "So I fled from you when I feared you. But my Lord has granted me wisdom (i.e. religious knowledge, right judgment of the affairs and Prophethood), and made me one of the Messengers. "And this is the past favor with which you reproach me: that you have enslaved the Children of Israel." Musa’s Answer الشعراء
22
Musa peace be upon him Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) said: "And what is the Lord of the Worlds?" [Musa (Moses)] said: "The Lord of the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them, if you seek to be convinced with certainty." [Fir‘aun (Pharaoh)] said to those around: "Do you not hear (what he says)?" [Musa (Moses)] said: "Your Lord and the Lord of your ancient fathers!" [Fir‘aun (Pharaoh)] said: "Verily, your Messenger who has been sent to you is a madman!" [Musa (Moses)] said: "Lord of the east and the west, and all that is between them, if you did but understand!" The Confrontation with Pharaoh الشعراء
23
Musa peace be upon him Fir‘aun said: "Who then, O Musa, is the Lord of you two?" [Musa] said: "Our Lord is He Who gave to each thing its form and nature, then guided it aright." [Fir‘aun] said: "What about the generations of old?" [Musa] said: "The knowledge thereof is with my Lord, in a Record. My Lord neither errs nor He forgets." Who has made earth for you like a bed (spread out); and has opened roads (ways and paths) for you therein, and has sent down water (rain) from the sky. And We have brought forth with it various kinds of vegetation. Eat and pasture your cattle (therein); verily, in this are Ayat (proofs and signs) for men of understanding. Thereof (the earth) We created you, and into it We shall return you, and from it We shall bring you out once again. طه
24
Musa peace be upon him [Fir‘aun] said: "If you choose a god other than me, I will certainly put you among the prisoners." [Musa] said: "Even if I bring you something manifest (and convincing)?" [Fir‘aun] said: "Bring it forth then, if you are of the truthful!" So [Musa] threw his stick, and behold, it was a serpent, manifest. And he drew out his hand, and behold, it was white to all beholders! [Fir‘aun] said to the chiefs around him: "Verily! This is indeed a well-versed sorcerer. "He wants to drive you out of your land by his sorcery: what is it then that you command?" The Confrontation with Pharaoh الشعراء
25
Musa peace be upon him The chiefs of the people of Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) said: "This is indeed a well-versed sorcerer; "He wants to get you out of your land, so what do you advise?" They said: "Put him and his brother off (for a time), and send callers to the cities to collect - "That they bring up to you all well- versed sorcerers." The Challenge of Pharaoh and his Chiefs الأعراف
26
Musa peace be upon him And indeed We showed him [Fir‘aun] all Our Ayat (signs and evidence), but he denied and refused. He [Fir‘aun (Pharaoh)] said: "Have you come to drive us out of our land with your magic, O Musa (Moses)? "Then verily, we can produce magic the like thereof; so appoint a meeting between us and you, which neither we nor you shall fail to keep, in an open place where both shall have a just and equal chance (and beholders could witness the competition)." [Musa (Moses)] said: "Your appointed meeting is the day of the festival, and let the people assemble when the sun has risen (forenoon)." The Challenge of Pharaoh and his Chiefs طه
27
Musa peace be upon him So the sorcerers were assembled at a fixed time on a day appointed. And it was said to the people: "Are you (too) going to assemble? "That we may follow the sorcerers [who were on Fir'awn's (Pharaoh) religion of disbelief] if they are the winners." So when the sorcerers arrived, they said to Fir‘aun (Pharaoh): "Will there surely be a reward for us if we are the winners?" He said: "Yes, and you shall then verily be of those brought near (to myself)." The Sorcerers الشعراء
28
Musa peace be upon him Musa (Moses) said to them: "Woe unto you! Invent not a lie against Allah, lest He should destroy you completely by a torment. And surely, he who invents a lie (against Allah) will fail miserably." Then they debated one with another what they must do, and they kept their talk secret. They said: "Verily these are two magicians. Their object is to drive you out from your land with magic, and overcome your chiefs and nobles. "So devise your plot, and then assemble in line. And whoever overcomes this day will be indeed successful." The Sorcerers طه
29
Musa peace be upon him They said: "O Musa (Moses)! Either you throw (first), or shall we have the (first) throw?" He [Musa (Moses)] said: "Throw you (first)." So when they threw, they bewitched the eyes of the people, and struck terror into them, and they displayed a great magic. The Sorcerers الأعراف
30
Musa peace be upon him So Musa (Moses) conceived fear in himself. We (Allah) said: "Fear not! Surely, you will have the upper hand. "And throw that which is in your right hand! It will swallow up that which they have made. That which they have made is only a magician’s trick, and the magician will never be successful, to whatever amount (of skill) he may attain." The Sorcerers طه
31
Musa peace be upon him Then when they had cast down, Musa (Moses) said: "What you have brought is sorcery; Allah will surely make it of no effect. Verily, Allah does not set right the work of corrupters. "And Allah will establish and make apparent the truth by His Words, however much the criminals (disbelievers, polytheists, sinners) may hate it." The Sorcerers يونس
32
Musa peace be upon him And We revealed to Musa (Moses) (saying): "Throw your stick," and behold! It swallowed up straight away all the falsehoods which they showed. Thus truth was confirmed, and all that they did was made of no effect. So they were defeated there and returned disgraced. And the sorcerers fell down prostrate. They said: "We believe in the Lord of the Worlds "The Lord of Musa (Moses) and Harun (Aaron)." The Sorcerers الأعراف
33
Musa peace be upon him Fir‘aun (Pharaoh) said: "You have believed in him [Musa (Moses)] before I give you permission. Surely, this is a plot which you have plotted in the city to drive out its people, but you shall come to know. The Sorcerers الأعراف
34
Musa peace be upon him [Fir‘aun (Pharaoh)] said: "Believe you in him [Musa (Moses)] before I give you permission? Verily he is your chief who has taught you magic. So I will surely cut off your hands and feet on opposite sides, and I will surely crucify you on the trunks of date-palms, and you shall surely know which of us [I (Fir‘aun - Pharaoh) or the Lord of Musa (Moses) (Allah)] can give the severe and more lasting torment." The Sorcerers طه

The Sorcerers طه
36
Musa peace be upon him They said: "No harm! Surely, to our Lord (Allah) we are to return. "Verily we really hope that our Lord will forgive us our sins, as we are the first of the believers [in Musa (Moses) and in the Monotheism which he has brought from Allah]." The Martyrs الشعراء
37
Musa peace be upon him They said: "We prefer you not over what have come to us of the clear signs and to Him (Allah) Who created us. So decree whatever you desire to decree, for you can only decree (regarding) this life of the world. "Verily we have believed in our Lord, that He may forgive us our faults, and the magic to which you did compel us. And Allah is better as regards reward in comparison to your [Fir'awn's (Pharaoh)] reward, and more lasting (as regards punishment in comparison to your punishment)." Verily whoever comes to his Lord as a criminal then surely, for him is Hell, wherein he will neither die nor live. But whoever comes to Him (Allah) as a believer, and has done righteous good deeds, for such are the high ranks (in the Hereafter), ‘Adn (Eden) Paradise (everlasting Gardens), under which rivers flow, wherein they will abide forever: such is the reward of those who purify themselves. The Martyrs طه
