Story of Six Blind Men It was six men of Indostan To learning much inclined Who went to see an animal (Though all of them were blind), That each by observation Might satisfy his mind

Can you guess what animal they discovered?
Task: Draw out what you think this animal may look like based on the observations of six blind men

Clue#1: The First approached the animal, And happening to fall Against his broad and sturdy side, At once began to bawl: "God bless me! but the animal Is very like a wall!"

CLUE #2 The Second, feeling of the tusk, Cried, "Ho! what have we here So very round and smooth and sharp? To me 'tis mighty clear This wonder of an animal Is very like a spear!"

CLUE #3 The Third approached the animal, And happening to take The squirming nose within his hands, Thus boldly up and shake: "I see," quote he, "the animals very like a snake."

CLUE #4 The Fourth reached out an eager hand, And felt about the knee. "What most this wondrous beast is like Is mighty plain," quote he; "Tis Clear enough the animal Is very like a tree."

CLUE #5 The Fifth, who chanced to touch the ear, Said: "Even the blindest man Can tell what this resembles most; Deny the fact who can, This marvel of an animal Is very like a fan!"

CLUE # 6 The Sixth no sooner had begun About the beast to grope, Then seizing on the swinging tail That fell within his scope, "I see," quote he, "the animal Is very like a rope."

Reflection How does this poem illustrate the importance of observation in the scientific method? What is the morale of the tale? Many scientific errors can occur because the researcher does not use good skills of obervation. Imagine a scenario where not being observant cab result in an experiment going wrong. Describe this scenario in the form of a story or a poem if you can!
