In 1873, Tesla studied at Realschule in Carlstadt, The Polytechnic Institute in Graz, Austria, and the University of Prague. It was then one day, Tesla was walking with a friend in the city park when it came to Tesla, the elusive solution of rotating the magnetic field flashed through Nikola’s mind. Tesla then wrote in the sand with a stick explaining his theory to his friend.

After building a prototype and testing, Tesla was unable to interest any wealthy investors. Nikola Tesla then joined the Continental Edison Company in Paris, France. There he had the idea of a generator that would send electrical energy along distribution lines first one way, then another way, multiple waves. Using the Polyphase Principle.
