2. If a man dies, will he live again? Job asked this question – Job 14:14 He observed there was hope for a tree that had been cut down – 14: 7 - 9 A sprout sometimes springs up from a died root to live again. Job’s dead body would lie in the grave until one day, when God calls for him, he will answer Him. Job 14:10 - 17

3. Jesus said Man will live again John 5:25-30 An hour is coming when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear shall live.( 25 ) Do not marvel at this; for an hour is coming, in which all who are in the tombs shall hear His voice, and shall come forth; those who did the good deeds to a resurrection of life, those who committed the evil deeds to a resurrection of judgment.( 28 & 29 )

4. Christ is the Resurrection John 11:25 & 26 Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life; he who believes in Me shall live even if he dies, and everyone who lives and believes in Me shall never die.”

5. How are the dead raised? What kind of body do they come? I Cor. 15:35-58 Our physical body will die and decay. - sown perishable body - sown in dishonor - sown in weakness Our resurrected body will be a spiritual body. - raised imperishable - raised in glory - raised in power Those alive will also be given a Spiritual body. Flesh & Blood can not inherit the kingdom of heaven.

6. When will the resurrection occur? II Peter 3:3 - 13 ssecond coming II Peter 3:3-14  At the Coming of Christ ( 4 )  The present heavens and earth by His word are being reserved for fire, kept for the day of judgment, and destruction of ungodly men.( 7 )  But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and its works will be burned up.( 10 )

7. Judgment Scene – I Matthew 25:31-46  Christ will come with the angels - he will sit on His glorious throne.  All nations will be gathered before Him.  He will separate the righteous from the unrighteous. (Judgment) - Righteous will inherit heaven and be given eternal life. - Unrighteous will go into a place prepared for the devil and his angles to eternal punishment.

8. Judgment scene – II I Thessalonians 4:13-17  Christ will descend from heaven - with a shout, with the voice of the archangel - with the trumpet of God  The dead in Christ shall rise first  Those (RIGHTEOUS) that are alive at his coming will rise to meet Christ with the others in the clouds.  These will be taken with Christ to heaven to live forever.

9. Judgment scene – III Revelation 20:11-15 One sitting on a great white throne - the earth and heaven fled away The dead standing before the throne. Books were opened and another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. All were judged by their deeds written in the books. Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death. All that were not found in the Book of Life were thrown into the lake of fire.
