If you take a look at the following picture, let me tell you... it is not animated. Your eyes are making it move. To test this, stare at one spot for a couple seconds and everything will stop moving. Or look at the black center of each circle and it will stop moving. But move your eyes to the next black center and the previous will move after you take your eyes away from it.... Weird
11
Are the purple lines straight or bent?
12
Which circle in the middle is bigger?
13
Do you see gray areas in between the squares? Now where did they come from?
14
You should see a man's face and also a word... Hint: Try tilting your head to the right, the world begins with 'L'
19
It’s amazing how our eyes can play “tricks” on us because of the way our brains process the light information from the eye, to the brain.
20
Is this possible!?!
23
Two old folks? Or Mexican Fiesta?
24
Stare at the star in the lower RIGHT hand side for 30-45 seconds then move eyes to sided and blink them slowly…pretty neat huh?
25
Think colors can’t play tricks on your eyes? Well guess what? Those spirals that “look” green, and blue– are the SAME COLOR! The Orange cutting through it makes it look green—the magenta cuts through it—rendering it blue! Want proof? Check the next slide and look CAREFULLY at the lines crossing those apparently blue, and green spirals!
26
Note the ORANGE line cuts across the magenta into our blue/green spiral giving it the “green” look. Note it’s the MAGENTA zig-zag line cutting into our blue/green spiral, fooling our eyes into perceiving it as “blue”. You will also note how the seeming blue lines become “magenta” while the seeming green, become “orange”. It’s not easy, but TRY looking at just a blue strip, then just a “green” strip—you will notice they actually ARE the same. Now flip back and look, and marvel!
27
Nice scene—see the Face?
28
Albert enjoying hot soup—with three women; can you find them?
29
This is a “Face” tree. Can you find 10!
30
See the Horsey?
31
See the Froggie? Now click the mouse to see the Horse again… quite a neat trick huh?
