Overview Launched in 1999 Sponsored by the TT Club and FIATA Aims: Encourage Training if the FF Industry Develop professionalism Draw in more, younger people to the industry.

Eligibility Experience - 2 Years in the Industry – 4 is preferable Entrant must be employed by a company that is a member of the FIATA aligned National Association (SAAFF). National Member Association (SAAFF) may only submit one candidate and must motivate their selection. A prize is awarded by SAAFF to the winner of the South African round – an Apple iPad Ideally, competitor should have FIATA Diploma or some FIATA aligned training. May only be nominated by SAAFF, once. Age : 18 to 32 i.e. may not be older that 32 years of age - in this year.

SA Round Topic set by SAAFF – This has yet to be released Intent to enter to be received by SAAFF by 31 August 2014. Paper required by 6 January 2014.

Dissertation Once nominated, a dissertation is required. The qualifying round requires and assessment/assignment to be written. 4000 to 6000 words in length (max 6000 words!) Typed, double spaced in soft copy only in Word, unlocked format. Has 3 months in which to complete this. In English Attachments limited to 15 Pages.

Prizes for Regional Winner Not based solely on the dissertation but is a significant factor. International Certificate is issued to the winner together with a personal Trophy Attendance at the FIATA Annual World Congress, including: US 1000 towards air travel sponsored by FIATA Hotel accommodation sponsored by TT Club. One Year’s free subscription to International Transport Journal (ITJ)

Prizes for Global Winner In addition to the prizes awarded to the Regional Winners, the Global winner will win: An International Certificate issued to the winner; An additional personal Trophy Name engraved on the Trophy held in the TT Club in London, listing all prior winners One week’s practical training in a designated country One week’s training on legal and Insurance aspects at TT Club. Economy air travel for these purposes and accommodation and personal expenditure. Personal spending money.
