Rock & Roll: The only Bloodless Revolution By Patrick Jones
2
No one knows exactly who started the Rock & Roll revolution. Most people agree that three musicians helped usher in the genre of music. These men were Chuck Berry, Jerry Lee Lewis and Little Richard. They all blended rhythm and blues with a faster moving beat.
3
The Electric Guitar The electric guitar was the most important thing that helped Rock & Roll revolutionize Music. The first one was made by Rickenbacker. The most popular ones now are Fender and Gibson. Rickenbacker made the first electric guitar in 1932. People needed these to compete with loud horn sections in “ Big Bands ” Blues guitarists started to use them. This inspired many hard rockers like AC/DC and Led Zeppelin.

The Beatles The Beatles, from Liverpool, England, were the most influential Rock band of all time. They started out as a pop band and eventually broke out as an experimental and envelope-pushing band. Imagine Justin Beiber becoming the greatest artist ever. That ’ s how the Beatles started!
9
What was revolutionized? Rock and Roll revolutionized music in many ways. It helped transform the music into something that kids could do together. It also provided and outlet for angst. Bands like the Beatles, the Who and the Rolling Stones were all teenagers that changed the world with their music.

17
PowerPoint FAIL!!!
18
Why this was bad: PowerPoints should assist the presentation. They should not be the presentation.
19
Why this was bad: Slides should reinforce what I say. It should not say it for me.
20
I was not important. PowerPoint was the star. If I ’ m presenting, I should have your attention, not a screen.
