2. Sierra Verde’s 8 th Grade Guitar students will analyze notes and Chords in order to utilize our skills in guitar playing as evidenced by proficiency in the I MA technique on melody lines and three chord songs in order to be prepared for the High School program.

3. Guitar PDSA Students in Guitar Class will perform a I, IV, and V Chord to accompany a simple folk song while others are playing the melody line.

4. Sixth grade Mission Statement In music, 6 th grade students will develop an understanding of music notes, music history, and different music genres In order to encourage life long appreciation of music.

5. 6 th Grade PDSA Sierra Verde Sixth grade students will utilize the sixth grade standards in music by focusing on Reading and Notating Music in order to write a Rap in AABB form and perform it in an ensemble utilizing High, Low, and medium Drumming to promote a positive self esteem.

6. 3rd Grade Music Mission Statement Sierra Verde Third grade students will be able to read all notes on the treble clef, to listen carefully, help each other and learn with a positive attitude in order to develop a life long appreciation for music.

7. 3 rd PDSA S. V. third grade students will improve 10% in their benchmark assessment on reading notes on the treble clef by the end of first quarter.

8. 2 nd Grade Music Mission Statement Sierra Verde 2 nd grade students will learn music by working together in cooperation with a learner’s attitude in order to accomplish Arizona State Standards in music.

9. 2 nd Grade PDSA Students in 2 nd grade will be able to perform steady beat and identify note values in simple rhythm patterns to achieve reading and notating music in order to achieve 2 nd grade music standards.

10. 1 st Grade Music Mission Statement Sierra Verde first grade students will develop an understanding of the basic fundamentals in music through responses to rhythm, pitch, and steady beat by body movements in order to prepare for 2 nd grade Music.

11. 1 st Grade PDSA Students in 1 st grade will be able to keep a steady beat and identify quarter note, half note, and whole note values in order to achieve 1 st grade standards in music.
