All About Giraffes Hi my name is Sofia Newville and my animal that you’re going to read about is a giraffe.

A giraffe can live about 25 years in the wild and about 30 in a zoo. [captivity].A giraffe is a tall mammal.

Characteristics. Giraffes can grow up to 17 feet tall and weigh as much as 3,000 pounds. The male giraffes called Bulls are actually larger than the females called Cows.

Diet\habitat The giraffes habitat is the Savanna. They eat large Acacia leaves. GIRAFFES LIVE IN A PLACE CALLED AFRICA. IT’S DRY IN MOST PLACES A GIRAFFE LIVES IN THE SAVANNA.

Adaptions The giraffes are adapted to their habitat by having long necks these allow them to reach food at the tops of trees and to spot enemies.

Jaw dropping facts Did you know a giraffes foot is the size of a dinner plate -12 inches across?! Giraffes are the tallest land animal?! A giraffe could also look into a second story building without having to stand on it’s tiptoes! Calves are six tall at birth.

Giraffes are hunted for their meat,coat,and tails. The tails are prized for good luck bracelets, fly whisks and strings for sewing beads. Impact of cross breeding or extinction info

Conclusion Thanks a lot but that’s all for my report about giraffes! One more thing that I think about giraffes…… that they're awesome because of they’re height and they're print.
