Big and small Pupils could use two hoops and collect big items to put in the “big hoop” and small items to put in the “small hoop”. They could draw some of the small things and some of the big things. Pupils could draw or paint pictures of big and small things, eg a big house and a small house, a big car and a small car. Pupils could sort out classroom toys into “big toys” and “small toys”.

Tall and short Tall and short towers Pupils could get into pairs and measure who is the tallest and shortest. Alternatively, pupils could line up in order, with the tallest child first and the shortest child last.
