* There was crystal gleaming ice covering New York and the ice was 1,000 feet thick. * Most of Canada was ice and it is still ice now. * There was a lot of kinds of animals that lived in the Ice Age.

* The saber tooth cat had long teeth to eat meat. * The Woolly Rhino had flat teeth to eat plants. * The Woolly Rhino had a horn to dig up the plants. * The Giant Ground Sloth ate plants and fruits with it’s arms.

* The Giant Beaver was 8 feet tall while standing up. * The Glyptodont was about 5 feet tall and over 9 feet wide. * The Cave Bear was 10 FEET TALL! * The Western Camel was over 7 feet tall. * The Dire Wolf was about 5 feet tall. * The Cave Lion was about 11 FEET TALL!

* One of the kind of the Ice Age were called Homo Sapiens. * There were also people called Cro – Magnons * When Cro – Magnons hunt and kill an animal, they use every part of the animal,they even ate the brains, livers, and tongues. * It takes one hour to carve one bead, and they found more than 1,000 beads on a Cro – Magnons.

* The Wooly Rhino had long thick coat to keep warm in cold weather. * The Wooly Rhino also had horns to protect itself from predators. * The Dire Wolf had strong legs to run fast to catch their prey.

* In downtown Los Angeles there is one of the most famous fossil sights, it is called the La Brea Tar Pits. * In the tar pits there was a sticky liquid called asphalt, that was oil from Earth. * More 4,500 frozen Wooly Mammoths have been found in Siberia. * The most popular Saber tooth cat was called a Smildon. * The Saber tooth cat had sharp canine teeth 9 inches long.
