6
This action reflects the understanding that roofing issues often influence the entire building envelope. In increasing frequency, RCI members are called upon to address building- wide concerns from below-grade to rooftop.
7
Consultants routinely investigate and specify transitions between systems, such as roofing and masonry. Consultants understand the greater picture – they design solutions with the entire building envelope in mind.
8
Daily experience with maintaining, repairing, and replacing the spectrum of roofing systems enables a consultant to provide unbiased recommendations regarding system performance and return on investment information.
9
The single most important building envelope consultant characteristic is his or her unique perspective in the complex building life cycle. RCI’s consultant members are involved with every facet of the building life cycle, from commissioning and pre-design services, to design- development, to post construction, to demolition.
