“Military credit” can be thought of as a category of transfer credit Prior educational experience at a “sending institution” Fulfills degree requirements at a “receiving institution”

Unit requirements As recommended by ACE Guide? Which categories of ACE Guide credit? UC policy – only if equivalent to a UC course CSU policy – lower division baccalaureate level credit or higher counts

Applying military credit GE / graduation requirements Health / PE requirement? CSU GE Area E? Language requirement? Others? CSU practice – Most campuses clear Area E for basic military training. All will clear Area E if CCC certifies. (per email from Ken O’Donnell)
