2 Warm-up Problem: Customary Units Julie is training for a small triathlon where she will run 3 miles, bike 10 miles, and swim 150 yards. How many yards will Julie run? How many feet will she swim?

3 Changing Units You can use PROPORTIONS, using the conversion factors provided on your formula sheet, to change units of length, capacity, and weight. The table to the right shows all the conversions of length, weight, and capacity. However, you will always be permitted to use your formula sheet to determine any conversions.
