Why is the bond election being called? JNCISD is planning for future growth and long range planning for the district. The District is following previous recommendations from two different facility studies (1995 & 2007). Jim Ned CISD is renovating the two elementary schools to allow Buffalo Gap and Lawn to keep neighborhood schools in place as stated in the 1995 TASA study. These renovations also allow for growth at the elementary schools by placing the 5 th grade with 6 th, 7 th, & 8 th Middle school at the current HS. JNCISD is following previous recommendations made by TASB in 2007 to convert the current HS into a middle school and build a new HS at a different location. The current bond plan gives something to every student at JNCISD.
