22 WALL Residential Allowed: one per residential home occupation directly attached to dwelling wall Area: 1.0 m² Industrial Commercial (SC/NC) Institutional Future Development Entrepreneurial Zone Central Commercial Allowed: Unlimited in terms of number of signs, but must meet area requirements - commercial, industrial or institutional building shall have a maximum sign area of 0.75 m 2 per horizontal linear meter of the wall face. - shall not cover more than 20% in total aggregate area of the wall on which they are erected, displayed or placed. - total area of any single wall sign per business premise shall not exceed 35 m².

24 VARIANCES The Director has partial delegated authority The Director shall have regard to: - Special circumstances or conditions applicable to the application - Whether special circumstances are pre-existing - Whether the proposed sign will detrimentally alter the character of the building, property or area, - Whether the general intent and purpose of the Sign By-law is maintained - Variance decisions made by Director can be appealed to council
