1. CAKE 2012, Q1

2. Revitalizing CAKE: We wish to revitalize CAKE in 2012. ”New” CAKE will consist of 4 sessions, 1 session for each quarter: C – CARE – Q1 A – AWARENESS – Q2 K – KNOWLEDGE – Q3 E – ENGAGEMENT – Q4 Theme for each quarter will be linked up the main theme for 2012!

3. The main theme for 2012 is Understanding of Personal Risk – and consequence. By this we understand: Insight into the human, technological and organizational factors which may have significance to the risk within the systems we are a part of. This is primarily about understanding of how humans affect and are affected in their interaction with technical and social systems. Furthermore it is also about understanding of which consequences our behaviours and actiosn may have.

5. CAKE in 2012: At the safety meeting, a film for every quarter will be shown CAKE posters with the theme for each quarter will be distributed and hung up offshore and onshore At the crewsafety meetings, the topic of the quarter will be highlighted and discussed from a risk and consequence point of view. The session will come with written questions which the crew will discuss Each quarter there will also be different activities

6. CAKE Q1: Health and Work environment The CAKE alternative is the healthy alternative for you who wish a healthier diet. The CAKE alternative offers you the possibility to choose better food for your health and well-being. Dedicated menus will be prepared to each meal. The food will be offered during regular meals and coffee meals. Easily identified through CAKE logos posted in visible places. 7. Photo competition; How can a picture illustrate Personal Risk – and Consequence Understanding? During Q1 CAKE encourages you to share with us a photo you might have which illustrates how you understand Personal Risk- and Consequence Understanding. How do you think a picture can capture this? The picture does not have to be work related, it can be a well known situation from home, work out, or vacation. A winner of a 12 000 NOK gift card for a travel will be drawn in April!
