The reasons why are they have wool, they produce milk witch you can turn into cheese, their manure is good fertilizer for the garden, you can sell them, they have meat, and they eat all of your garden wastes and keep down your lawn. We chose chickens because they lay eggs, you can kill them for meat, their manure is good fertiliser for the garden and you can use their egg shells for the garden to keep away slugs and snails.
