2 CHRISTMAS  Yule is Scottish for Christmas.  It was celebrated by Celtic pagans..  Christmas Day only became a public holiday in 1958, and Boxing Day in 1974.The New Year's Eve festivity, Hogmanay, was the largest celebration in Scotland. The gift-giving, holidays winter were traditionally held between the 11th of December and 6 January.

3 Scottish Christmas meal  Christmas dinner in Scotland is usually eaten in the afternoon.  The traditional Christmas dinner of Scotland includes roast turkey or goose, and sometimes cranberry sauce poured on the turkey with roast vegetables(usually boiled ) with dessert of Christmas pudding, sometimes mince pies or trifle.
