THANKSGIVING DAY Thanksgiving is a time For reviewing what we treasure, The people we hold dear, Who gives us so much pleasure. Without you as my friend Life would be a bore. Having you in my life Is what I´m thankful for.

Thanksgiving Day Thanksgiving is a holiday to express gratitude and appreciation to God, family and friends for the good things in our lives. Traditionally, it was a time to give thanks for a good harvest and for having enough food for the winter. This holiday is now usually away from its religious roots.

The First Thanksgiving In the USA, “Thanksgiving Day” is a big national festivity that celebrates the first harvest that the Pilgrims –the first settlers- grew on American land. They invited the local indians to the celebration, they ate turkey, and everybody was in peace and harmony.

But things changed soon after And peace and harmony vanished

Turkey, is the main “guest”. No Thanksgiving meal starts before he arrives! roast turkey cranberry sauce

So turkeys are the life and soul of the party Man dressed up as a Pilgrim, sitting on a giant turkey in a parade…

Norman Rockwell´s Thanksgiving This the most famous artistic representation of Thanksgiving Day, by American illustrator Norman Rockwell. So today, Thanksgiving means for many Americans a familiar gathering around a table to eat turkey, share and enjoy.
