2  This unit is designed for second grade students and will meet all learning styles  Unit will last six days  Unit will consist of worksheets, access to internet, presentations, and science cirrus.

SC.O.2.1.8 design and conduct simple investigations; observe, collect and record information using a variety of classification systems; describe trends of data; and make predictions based on that data (e.g., seasonal changes and plants or temperature and weather). SC.O.2.2.15 describe daily and seasonal weather changes. SC.O.2.3.5 listen to and be tolerant of different viewpoints while working in collaborative groups. SC.O.2.2.14 observe and describe different types of precipitation.

6  Introduction: The students will be introduced to their Weather Log which is what they will begin each day with. › Temperature › Weather › Picture of the clouds › Research a Countries weather of their choice.

7  Weather Log  Talk about the seasons  Group Students and research each season.  Present information on the seasons to the class.

8  Ask the students to describe the clouds they have seen in the sky.  Introduce the different types of clouds to the students by using: PowerPoint, Bulletin Board, Online Quiz.  Day Four: Cloud in a jar science experiment. › Using different variables to see if it will make a differences in making a cloud (Color of water, temp. of water)

9  Science Cirrus  Station 1: Complete Local Weather Log  Station 2: Research Country and Complete Weather Log  Station 3: Seasons Worksheet  Station 4: Cloud Learning Wheel  Day Six Students will present their information on the country they researched and compare their weather to our weather.

10  Presentation of the Seasons and Country  Weather Log  Group participation in Science Experiment, PowerPoint, Bulletin Board, Online Quiz.  Computer Etiquette
